Read storyLimoges hydrant flushing scheduled through Oct. 30
Limoges residents may notice reduced water pressure or discoloured tap water during hydrant flushing scheduled from Oct. 19 to 30, The Nation Municipality says.
The work is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. and also covers St-Isidore. Flushing clears water mains and checks hydrant operation, but can temporarily stir up sediment.
Residents who notice discolouration should let their tap run for five to 10 minutes before using it, the municipality advises. Its water and wastewater department will check water quality during the work to ensure it remains safe to drink.
Street-by-street timing is unavailable because crews also have regular operational duties during that period.
