Water restrictions lifted in Embrun

Water restrictions in Embrun were lifted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, after the village’s water tower returned to service, Russell Township announced.

The Township thanked residents for conserving water during the repairs. In its Sept. 29 update, it had said repairs were complete but cleaning, disinfection and water-quality testing were still required before the tower could return to service.

The Rustler previously reported on delays and council’s discussion of a possible rebate for Embrun water customers. No rebate was approved at the Aug. 31 meeting covered in that report. Wednesday’s announcement does not address rebates.
